notice
Pick up on
Notice centers on the act of becoming aware of something or bringing something to awareness.
As a verb, you notice what catches your attention or what you deliberately observe: I noticed she was limping.
As a noun, notice is information meant to be observed, often a formal announcement or warning: The landlord gave thirty days' notice.
To give notice is to inform someone officially, especially about leaving a job.
If something escapes your notice, you fail to observe it.
A noticeable thing is one that readily draws attention.
