rhyming couplet

Two matching lines

A rhyming couplet is a pair of consecutive lines in poetry that end with words that rhyme: The time has come, the Walrus said, / To talk of many things.

Couplets often deliver a punchy conclusion or memorable summary, as in the final lines of a Shakespearean sonnet.
