rhymes
Endings that echo
Rhymes are words or lines of verse that end with the same or similar sounds: moon/June, cat/hat.
The term also refers to short verses or poems using such correspondences, especially for children: nursery rhymes.
As a verb, to rhyme is to end with matching sounds or to compose verse: Nothing rhymes with orange.
Rhyme can also mean reason or logic, usually in the negative: There's no rhyme or reason to his decisions.
