Badly written poetry
Doggerel is verse that's clumsy, irregular, or comically bad—poetry that sacrifices craft for easy rhymes or forced meter.
The term is mildly dismissive: The greeting card's doggerel made her laugh.
Sometimes deliberately crude verse serves comic purposes, but doggerel usually suggests the poet couldn't do better.
