racialism
Belief in hierarchy
Racialism is the belief that human races are fundamentally distinct categories with inherent characteristics, or the practice of making racial distinctions in social and political life.
The term overlaps substantially with racism, though some use racialism for the theoretical belief and racism for discriminatory action based on it.
In practice, the distinction rarely holds: The committee condemned racialism in all its forms.
