ethnostate
Ethnically pure country
An ethnostate is a nation or proposed nation defined by ethnic homogeneity—where citizenship or residence is restricted to members of a particular ethnic or racial group.
The term appears most often in discussions of white nationalist ideology, where advocates envision creating or preserving countries exclusively for white people: The manifesto called for establishing an ethnostate.
Critics use the term to highlight the exclusionary and often violent implications of such proposals.
