racialist

Believer in hierarchy

A racialist believes that race determines human traits and capacities, and typically that some races are superior to others.

The term is roughly synonymous with racist but sometimes carries a pseudo-scientific veneer—the posture of someone who claims to study racial differences objectively: He called himself a racialist, not a racist, as if the distinction mattered.
