prop shaft
Torque delivery tube
A prop shaft is a propeller shaft—the rotating rod that transmits power from an engine to the wheels or propeller.
In vehicles, it connects the transmission to the rear axle: The prop shaft needs balancing.
In boats, it links the engine to the propeller.
Also called a drive shaft.
