photomontage
Combined photograph artwork
A photomontage is a composite image made by combining photographs or parts of photographs, either by cutting and pasting physical prints or through digital manipulation.
The technique serves artistic, political, and commercial purposes: The artist created photomontages critiquing consumer culture.
Photomontage differs from collage in using exclusively photographic elements rather than mixed materials.
