futurism
Predicting what's next
Futurism is a general orientation toward or emphasis on the future rather than the past or present.
It can describe artistic or design sensibilities that evoke advanced technology or speculative futures: The building's futurism feels dated now.
In broader use, futurism means the study of or speculation about future developments: corporate futurism, technological futurism. (Capitalized Futurism is the early 20th-century art movement.)
