digital collage
Screen-based composite image
Digital collage is artwork created by combining multiple digital images, graphics, or other visual elements into a unified composition.
Unlike traditional collage with scissors and glue, digital collage uses software to layer, blend, and manipulate source materials: She assembled the digital collage from vintage photographs and scanned textures.
The form ranges from simple photo mashups to complex mixed-media pieces incorporating illustration, typography, and found imagery.
