acknowledgment
Nod of receipt
Acknowledgment is recognition that something exists, is true, or has been received.
A nod can be an acknowledgment of someone's presence; a reply email acknowledges a message.
In formal contexts, acknowledgments appear in books thanking those who helped: The acknowledgments section ran three pages.
Legal acknowledgment confirms authenticity before a notary.
