senses
Five bodily inputs
Senses are the faculties by which humans and animals perceive the world—sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch being the traditional five.
Extended senses include balance, temperature, and pain.
The word also refers to instances of meaning: The word "run" has dozens of senses.
To come to one's senses is to regain rationality after foolishness.
