leaving

Exiting the premises

Leaving is the act of departing or going away from a place, person, or situation: I'm leaving in ten minutes.

It also refers to what remains after something is taken away—usually in the plural as leavings, meaning remnants or scraps: The dog ate the leavings from dinner.

To leave someone or something is to abandon, bequeath, or allow to remain: She's leaving her husband, He's leaving everything to charity.
