kata
Solo fighting sequence
Kata is a set sequence of movements practiced in martial arts, especially karate and judo.
Each kata preserves combat techniques in choreographed form, meant to be repeated until the motions become instinctive: She practiced the same kata for months before her belt test.
In software development, a code kata is a small programming exercise repeated to build skill through practice.
