Motorcycle wind cover
A fairing is a shaped covering that reduces drag on vehicles, aircraft, or bicycles by smoothing airflow around components.
On motorcycles, fairings shield the rider and enclose the engine: The bike's full fairing cuts wind noise at highway speeds.
On aircraft, fairings cover joints and landing gear.
Separately, a fairing is a gift bought at a fair—an old-fashioned British usage now rarely encountered.
