environmentalist
Green movement supporter
An environmentalist is someone who advocates for protecting the natural world from pollution, habitat destruction, and climate change.
The term can describe casual supporters of conservation or dedicated activists: Environmentalists protested the pipeline.
It sometimes carries political connotations, used admiringly by allies or dismissively by opponents: Those environmentalists want to shut down the whole industry.
