reintroduction
Return after absence
Reintroduction is the act of introducing something again.
Conservation efforts often focus on the reintroduction of endangered species to their native habitats: the reintroduction of wolves to Yellowstone.
The word applies broadly to bringing back anything that had been removed or discontinued: the reintroduction of classic menu items, the reintroduction of mandatory testing.
