drama
Emotional fireworks, onstage
Drama is a form of storytelling performed by actors, typically on stage—plays, theater, the dramatic arts.
By extension, drama describes intense emotional situations or conflict: There was so much drama at the office today.
The informal sense often carries dismissiveness—unnecessary emotional excess or attention-seeking behavior: I don't need this drama in my life, She's always stirring up drama.
