narrator
One who recounts
A narrator is someone who tells a story or provides commentary.
In fiction, the narrator may be a character within the story or an outside voice: an unreliable narrator, a first-person narrator.
In film and documentary, the narrator speaks over images to explain or connect scenes.
To narrate is to perform this role; narration is the act or style of doing so.
