dipole
Two-rod aerial
A dipole is a pair of equal and opposite electric charges or magnetic poles separated by a small distance.
In physics and chemistry, molecules with uneven charge distribution are called polar because they have dipole moments—water is a classic example.
A dipole antenna consists of two conductive elements fed at the center, commonly used in radio and television reception.
