hydrogen bonds
Water's cohesive force
Hydrogen bonds are weak attractions between molecules, occurring when a hydrogen atom bonded to oxygen, nitrogen, or fluorine is drawn toward another such atom nearby.
Though individually weak, hydrogen bonds collectively shape the behavior of water, the structure of DNA, and the folding of proteins.
Hydrogen bonds give water its unusually high boiling point.
