Chola is a Latina woman or girl associated with a particular urban subculture, often marked by distinctive style—dark lip liner, thin eyebrows, flannel shirts, hoop earrings.
The term originated in Mexican-American communities and can be neutral, affectionate, or derogatory depending on who uses it and how: She's got that chola aesthetic down.
