Shiva
Cosmic trinity member
Shiva is one of the principal deities of Hinduism, part of the trinity with Brahma and Vishnu.
Known as the destroyer and transformer, Shiva embodies both asceticism and the householder life, often depicted with a third eye, crescent moon, and the river Ganges flowing from his hair.
Devotees of Shiva are called Shaivites. (Lowercase shiva is the Jewish mourning period.)
