beer belly
Lager-fueled midsection
A beer belly is the protruding stomach associated with heavy drinking, particularly beer.
The term applies broadly to any prominent gut on a man, regardless of its actual cause: He's developed quite a beer belly since he stopped exercising.
Also called a beer gut or pot belly.
