The Netherlands
Land of dykes
The Netherlands is a country in northwestern Europe, often called Holland after its most prominent historical region.
It borders Belgium and Germany and is known for low-lying terrain, much of it reclaimed from the sea.
Dutch is both the nationality and the language.
We visited the Netherlands last spring.
