Curaçao
Dutch Caribbean island
Curaçao is an island in the southern Caribbean, part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
It also names a sweet liqueur originally made there from the dried peel of bitter oranges, traditionally blue but available in other colors: The cocktail calls for a splash of blue curaçao.
The liqueur sense is often lowercased.
