Cyclist's warning sound
Bike bells are small signaling devices mounted on bicycle handlebars, rung to alert pedestrians or other cyclists of approach.
The classic type produces a distinctive "ding" when a lever strikes a metal dome.
Local laws often require them, though many cyclists simply call out instead: On your left!
