Namibia

Southwest African nation

Namibia is a country in southwestern Africa, bordered by the Atlantic Ocean, Angola, Botswana, and South Africa.

Known for the Namib Desert—one of the world's oldest—and sparse population across vast arid landscapes.

Formerly the German colony of South-West Africa, then administered by South Africa until independence in 1990.

We drove through Namibia to see the dunes at Sossusvlei.
