diversity
Range of differences
The core meaning of diversity is closely related to its underlying adjective, diverse: having many distinct or unlike elements or qualities: The organization tries to preserve the genetic diversity of cattle.
In modern use, diversity is often applied to the condition of having, allowing, or welcoming people of many different backgrounds or beliefs: Parents were concerned that the textbooks in use did not reflect the cultural diversity of the students.
