Teton

Jagged Wyoming mountains

Teton refers to the Teton Range, a dramatic mountain chain in northwestern Wyoming that includes the Grand Teton, or to the valley and region surrounding it: We're spending a week in the Tetons.

The Teton Sioux are a major division of the Lakota people of the northern Great Plains.

The name comes from a French term, likely a bawdy reference to the peaks' shape.
