teat
Where calves suckle
A teat is a nipple, especially the projection on a mammal's breast or udder through which milk is drawn by nursing young.
The word extends to artificial nipples on baby bottles.
Teat sounds slightly more clinical or agricultural than nipple: The calf searched for the teat.
In British usage, teat is the standard term for a bottle nipple.
