Jackson Hole
Teton ski destination
Jackson Hole is a valley in northwestern Wyoming, named for the mountain trapper Davey Jackson.
The "hole" is frontier terminology for a high valley surrounded by mountains—in this case, the Tetons.
The area is now known for skiing, outdoor recreation, and expensive real estate.
Jackson Hole also hosts an annual economic symposium that draws central bankers and policymakers from around the world.
