SVGs

XML-based image format

SVGs are Scalable Vector Graphics—image files that use mathematical formulas rather than pixels to define shapes, lines, and colors.

Unlike JPEGs or PNGs, SVGs can be resized infinitely without losing quality, making them ideal for logos, icons, and web graphics: The designer exported the logo as an SVG so it would look sharp at any size.

The format is XML-based, meaning SVG files can be edited with code and manipulated with CSS or JavaScript.
