JavaScript

Browser's native tongue

JavaScript is the dominant programming language of the web, running in browsers to make pages interactive.

Originally designed for client-side scripting—responding to clicks, validating forms, animating elements—it now runs on servers through Node.js and powers mobile apps.

Despite the name, JavaScript has no meaningful connection to Java; the name was a marketing decision.
