alt text
Invisible image label
Alt text is a written description of an image, used to convey visual content to people who can't see it—whether due to blindness, slow internet connections, or broken image links.
Screen readers speak alt text aloud for visually impaired users.
Good alt text describes what matters in an image without being exhaustive: The alt text read "golden retriever catching a frisbee on a beach".
Short for alternative text.
