Squared-off shape, shortened
Rect is informal shorthand for rectangle, used mainly in computing and game development to describe rectangular areas or bounding boxes: The collision detection checks if the rects overlap.
Programmers refer to rectangular screen regions, hitboxes, and selection areas as rects: Draw the sprite inside the rect.
