Printmaking
Ink transfer craft
Printmaking is the art and process of creating images by transferring ink from a prepared surface—such as a carved block, etched plate, or treated screen—onto paper or another material.
Unlike drawing or painting, printmaking allows artists to produce multiple copies of the same image, called an edition.
Major techniques include woodcut, etching, lithography, and screen printing, each yielding distinctive textures and effects.
She studied printmaking to explore the interplay between repetition and variation in her work.
