burnisher
Tool for shining
A burnisher is a tool used to polish, smooth, or make surfaces shiny through rubbing.
Metalworkers, leather craftsmen, and printmakers use burnishers to create luster or compress material: She used a burnisher to bring out the shine on the silver.
The term also applies to anyone who burnishes—literally polishing surfaces or figuratively enhancing reputations.
