sculpture
Three-dimensional artwork
Sculpture is the art of shaping materials—stone, wood, metal, clay—into three-dimensional forms.
The word also refers to the works themselves: The museum's sculpture collection spans three centuries.
As a verb, to sculpture is to create such work, though sculpt is more common: She sculpted the figure from marble.
Sculptural describes qualities resembling sculpture: sculptural cheekbones, sculptural architecture.
