pulling
Drawing something closer
Pulling is the act of exerting force to move something toward you or in a direction, the opposite of pushing.
It extends to drawing or extracting: pulling weeds, pulling a tooth, pulling strings to get favors.
In British slang, pulling means successfully attracting a romantic or sexual partner: He was out pulling last night.
To be pulling for someone is to support or root for them.
