LRT
City rail system
LRT is an abbreviation for light rail transit—urban rail systems that are lighter and less expensive than traditional subways or heavy rail, typically running on dedicated tracks at street level or on elevated structures.
LRT bridges the gap between buses and full metro systems: The new LRT line connects downtown to the airport.
In some cities, LRT refers to specific transit lines regardless of technical classification.
