Continuous tactical command

RTS stands for real-time strategy, a video game genre where players build bases, gather resources, and command units in continuous action rather than turn-based play.

Classic examples include StarCraft and Age of Empires: I've been playing RTS games since the nineties. (Lowercase rts is a texting abbreviation.)
