Jaipur

Rajasthan's capital city

Jaipur is the capital and largest city of Rajasthan, a state in northwestern India.

Known as the "Pink City" for the distinctive terracotta color of its old town buildings, it was founded in 1727 and planned according to ancient Hindu architectural principles.

Jaipur forms one corner of India's Golden Triangle tourist circuit along with Delhi and Agra, drawing visitors to its palaces, forts, and bazaars.

We spent three days exploring Jaipur's markets and the Amber Fort.
