checkers
Diagonal jumping board game
Checkers is a board game for two players, each moving twelve pieces diagonally across a grid of alternating light and dark squares.
The goal is to capture all opposing pieces or block them from moving.
When a piece reaches the far side, it becomes a king and can move backward.
Called draughts in British English.
