HTTPS
Encrypted browsing standard
HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure) is the encrypted protocol for web communication, now standard for virtually all websites.
Banks, shopping sites, and any page handling sensitive data require HTTPS.
Browsers mark HTTP sites as "not secure" to encourage the switch: The site redirected from HTTP to HTTPS automatically. (Lowercase https is the same protocol, often seen in URLs.)
