HTTP status

Web request outcome

HTTP status refers to the three-digit codes that web servers return to indicate the result of a request.

These codes are grouped by category: 200s signal success, 300s indicate redirects, 400s mean client errors (404 not found), and 500s indicate server problems.

Developers and users encounter these when pages fail to load or actions don't complete as expected.
