FTP
Network transfer method
FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol, a standard method for transferring files between computers over the internet.
It predates the World Wide Web and remains widely used for uploading website content, sharing large files, and managing remote servers: Upload the images via FTP.
FTP clients are software applications that handle these transfers.
As a verb, to FTP something is to transfer it using this protocol. (Lowercase ftp is an informal variant.)
