private key
Cryptographic access code
A private key is a secret cryptographic code that proves ownership and authorizes transactions, especially in cryptocurrency.
The key must remain confidential—anyone who obtains it gains full control over associated assets.
Private keys pair with public keys: the public key can be shared freely, but the private key never should be.
I wrote my private key on paper and stored it in a safe.
