DVD+RW

Reburnable optical media

DVD+RW is a rewritable optical disc format that can store video, audio, or data and be erased and recorded multiple times.

The plus distinguishes it from the competing DVD-RW format; both emerged in the early 2000s and function similarly, though DVD+RW offered slightly better compatibility with home DVD players.

Like other optical media, it has been largely supplanted by streaming and flash storage.
